About Us
Collarosta Technologies and Crafts is a social enterprise that deals in appropriate technology for communities with a broad objective of creating livelihoods and environmental conservation in Kisumu, Kenya.
The Earth loses 18.7 million acres of forests per year and it is
estimated that 15 percent of all greenhouse gas emissions come from deforestation, according to the
WWF. Greenhouse gases contribute to global warming and consequently climate change. Additionally,
there are more than 7 billion people globally, who produce an average of 0.5 kg of waste every day.
A staggering half of that waste isn’t collected, treated or
safely disposed of, and it’s causing a global waste crisis.
Our Solution:
Providing clean, affordable, renewable and sustainable energy
solutions to reduce the negative consequences of global warming and hence climate change. Providing an online platform where artisans who make recycled and upcycled artifacts and handicrafts from environmental waste can sell their merchandise and the goods are delivered to the buyers.
